Natural Home Cleaner Scrub

When you can’t get those stubborn oil marks off a basin or bath or when your pots and pan have burn marks that need a little bit of elbow grease to get them shiny again then this natural scrub is your answer.

Made from natural powders that are finely abrasive and have grease stripping qualities. Its gentle on the skin and kind to the enviroment.

Here is the recipe to make it yourself:

1/2 cup Bicarbonate of Soda

1/2 cup Soda ash powder

2 tsp Diatomaceous Earth

10 drops Organic Lemon Essential Oil

Blend together and pour into a jar and use as needed

Why use bicarbonate of soda? Baking Soda acts a cleaning agent because it is a mild alkali and can cause dirt and grease to dissolve easily in water for effective removal. Baking Soda deodorizes by bringing both acidic and basic odor molecules into a neutral, more odor-free state.

Why use soda ash? Sodium carbonate, or washing soda, is a natural disinfectant. Washing soda is a green alternative to toxic cleaners.

Why diatomaceous earth? Diatomaceous earth can be used as an abrasive for cleaning and polishing. The silica which makes up DE is an extremely porous and fine powder, yet very hard. This makes it ideal for integrating into your cleaning, whether you are scrubbing the tub, floor, or countertops.
