Description
“A single drop of eucalyptus oil can go a long way,”
Eucalyptus oil contains a natural antiseptic that can be used on bug bites, ulcers, sores, cuts, and burns. It also has antimicrobial properties that work to prevent the growth of new germs. Apply one to two drops on a clean cotton ball and rub the area gently.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil acts as a natural, anti-microbial, non-toxic air freshener that removes bacteria, viruses, and mold from the environment.
Eucalyptus oil can clear your airways and allow more oxygen into your lungs, which can boost energy and promote mental clarity.
For a Disinfecting room spray, Dilute 5 drops in 500ml distilled water, this spray can freshen the room and eliminate the body odors trapped in shoes and sports gear. Eucalyptus oil is toxic for cats and dogs, so exercise caution and consult your vet before spraying in homes with pets.
Thanks to the anti-inflammatory benefits of eucalyptus oil, it can work wonders if your muscles are sore after a workout or if you suffer from chronic pain caused by certain conditions, like carpal tunnel syndrome or tennis elbow. Mix one or two drops with a carrier oil (like coconut, argan, or jojoba oil) and rub it on the sore area in a circular motion.
A surface cleaning agent can be made by combining Eucalyptus Oil with Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils and then diluting the blend with water before using it on kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
Congestion: mix a few drops in a steaming bowl of hot water and lean over it to inhale the aromatic vapors with a towel draped over the head and bowl for a few minutes or add a few drops on your hand when you shower to inhale and relieve the discomforts associated with fatigue, headaches, colds, sinusitis, mucous congestion, muscle aches and pains, and asthma. Note: The eyes should be closed to prevent irritation.
Thanks to the antimicrobial properties in eucalyptus oil, it can combat bad breath and be used as a natural mouthwash. Simply add one to two drops to water, gargle, and spit out. Be careful not to swallow; eucalyptus oil shouldn’t be ingested.
Anti-fungal components in eucalyptus oil combat the yeast-like fungus Malassezia, the most common cause of dandruff. Simply mix two to four drops of eucalyptus oil with one to two tablespoons of coconut oil, apply to scalp, wait 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly or add one drop to your shampoo before applying.
Caution:
When applied topically, Eucalyptus Oil should ideally be used in dilution, as using the oil directly or in high concentrations can potentially cause skin irritation. A skin test is recommended prior to use. Eucalyptus Oil must never be used on or near the eyes, inner ears, or on any other particularly sensitive areas of skin.
Warnings: Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. If pregnant or lactating, consult your healthcare practitioner before use.
